Toyota Motor North America Experience Center Ambassador

Toyota Experience Center Ambassadors serve to advance the mission of Toyota’s Experience Center and manufacturing facility by conducting guided tours of the Toyota plant for visitors of all ages. Leveraging excellent interpersonal communication, storytelling and premier customer service skills, ambassadors will educate guests about Toyota’s core values, employment opportunities, community initiatives and the company’s vision for the future of mobility.

In this role, ambassadors will be required to narrate scripted tours and safely drive electric trams in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Ambassadors must be energetic, enthusiastic, willing to learn and able to take feedback for continuous improvement.

Successful ambassadors will have an interest in working with people—especially students—and be willing to work on an array of projects, tasks and contribute to the team with ideas and a can-do attitude. Experience in education or in customer service and automotive manufacturing can be helpful but not required.

What You'll Do:

• Schedule tour reservations via phone and online registration system
• Perform community outreach via phone, email or in-person to build clientele
• Use, create or train with electronic documents and email system daily (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Support public tours by driving an electric tram or narrating up to four tours daily
• Prepare and clean PPE, trams and equipment daily
• Aid in the loading and unloading tour guests from trams and shuttles (where applicable)
• Give oral presentations in front of large, diverse groups of people
• Prepare tour/event materials, room set-ups, facility needs, etc.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure that guests remain within designated areas
• Contribute to idea creation and problem solving for the Experience Center operations
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need:

• Must be 18 years old and possess a high school diploma
• Computer experience—primarily Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service and problem-solving skills

• Ability to speak in front of diverse groups of people—age, background, education, etc.
• Ability to work with all levels within the organization
• Must have current driver’s license

When You’ll Work:

• Part-time, Tuesday through Thursday—max of 20 hours per week
• Flexibility to work occasional Monday or Friday with some evenings and Saturdays throughout year

Required Training/Testing:

• Driving Assignment – Must be able to meet requirements to drive vehicle on assignment. Successful candidates will complete a driver certification and safety training courses before driving a tram.
• Eye Exam/Health Screen – Must be able to pass an eye exam and blood pressure check before obtaining tram driving clearance
• Workplace Training – Must complete onboarding training and annual training as required/assigned by employer and/or client at will

General Stores Coordinator Contractor (Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Blue Springs, MS)

Starting Pay 35.00 per hour based on experience

Overtime required. Typically 5 to 15 hours per week

Job Duties

1. Support General Stores Analyst with Daily Operations

2. Coordinate with 3PL organizing Obsolesce Process in General Stores.

3. Coordinate with 3PL restaging shelved parts to Vertical Lift Cabinet.

4. Support Transfer / Receiving of transfer of shipments to other Toyota Plants.

5. Create reports for General Stores KPI’s.

Candidates must have:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and / or equivalent manufacturing experience greater than 2 years

2.  Strong Excel and Microsoft Office experience (data analysis with large complex files)

3.  Strong aptitude for grasping complex computer systems.

4.  Job is very data driven using multiple computer systems and data sources. Must be able to learn and                   understand complex computer systems and be able to analyze data concisely and quickly.

Ideal candidate would also have:

Mathematical background preferred: Minor or major in Mathematics.

PC / Parts Ordering experience.
